Expansion of the Universe

The Big Bang is a great explosion that is believed to have occurred 13.8 billion years ago that created the universe. Scientifically, it is actually not an explosion per se, as it is simply an expansion. Before the Big Bang, the whole universe was essentially inside a infinitesimally small singularity.
