San Francisco Giants
The San Francisco Giants are an American Professional baseball team based in the city of San Francisco, California in the United States of America. They are part of the National League in the West division. They were founded in 1883 under the name "The New York Gothams", before becoming the New York Giants in 1886. They moved to San Francisco in 1958.
The San Francisco Giants have won the National League 23 times and competed in the World Series 20 times, winning 8 of those appearances. Their present home stadium is Oracle Park in the South Beach neighbourhood of San Francisco, to which the Giants moved in 2000.
