Raymond S. Spears
(1876–1950)

American author of western and adventure stories; son of John R. Spears. He used numerous pseudonyms, including: Jim Smiley, Raymond Smiley, Raymond S. Spears, DeAlton Valentine, William Wells, Cliff Campbell, James Terry, Hiram Vermont, Charles E. Shepard, and Smiley Ironbaker.
