The daily range of temperature is large throughout most of the year (Table III). During the monsoon it reaches a minimum of 8.8° R in July, then rises through the autumn and winter to a maximum of 29.2° in April ; from here it falls again rapidly to July. The period of maximum daily temperature range coincides roughly with the period of highest absolute temperature.
