TRUST
Oh we've got to trustone another againin some essentials.
Not the narrow littlebargaining trustthat says: I'm for youif you'll be for me.—
But a bigger trust,a trust of the sunthat does not botherabout moth and rust, and we see it shiningin one another.
Oh don't you trust me,don't burden mewith your life and affairs; don't thrust meinto your cares.
But I think you may trustthe sun in methat glows with justas much glow as you seein me, and no more.
But if it warmsyour heart's quick corewhy then trust it, it formsone faithfulness more.
And be, oh bea sun to me,not a weary, insistentpersonality.
but a sun that shinesand goes dark, but shinesagain and entwineswith the sunshine in me till we both of usare more gloriousand more sunny.
