"Ulla si juris tibi pejeratiPœna, Barine, nocuisset unquam:"&c. &c.
If but the slightest punishmentTo teach you had been ever sentNo longer to deceive;If but one beauty left your face,Or lost your form a single grace,Perhaps I might believe.
But you no sooner on you takeThose winning vows you mean to break,Than such redoubled charmsFlash from your radiant brow and eyes,That Gods, who mark your perjuries,Enamour'd, drop their arms.
