Plotinus (MacKenna)/Volume 3/Acknowledgement

The translator desires to acknowledge the generous help afforded him by Mr. E. R. Dodds, Lecturer in Classics at University College, Reading, and author of "Select Passages Illustrating Neo-Platonism," who has examined and criticised the translation of this Fourth Ennead throughout. In a very large number of passages the translator has adopted interpretations originally proposed by Mr. Dodds. At the same time he wishes to make it clear that Mr. Dodds is in no sense responsible for the accuracy of the rendering as a whole.
