Hic Jacet
QUI IN HOC SAECULO FIDELITER MILITAVIT
He that has left hereunderThe signs of his releaseFeared not the battle's thunderNor hoped that wars should cease; No hatred set asunderHis warfare from his peace.
Nor feared he in his sleepingTo dream his work undone,To hear the heathen sweepingOver the lands he won;For he has left in keepingHis sword unto his son.
