  In the name of God, the Almighty, the Most Merciful. Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
044:001 H. M. Ha-meem
044:002 And the clarifying Scripture. Waalkitabi almubeeni
044:003 We have sent it down in a blessed night. Surely, We were to warn. Inna anzalnahu fee laylatin mubarakatin inna kunna munthireena
044:004 In it, is a decree for every matter of wisdom. Feeha yufraqu kullu amrin hakeemin
044:005 A decree from Us. Surely, We were to send messengers. Amran min AAindina inna kunna mursileena
044:006 A mercy from your Lord. He is the Hearer, the Knowledgeable. Rahmatan min rabbika innahu huwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu
044:007 The Lord of the heavens and the Earth, and everything between them. If you were certain! Rabbi alssamawati waal-ardi wama baynahuma in kuntum mooqineena
044:008 There is no god except Him. He gives life and causes death; your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors. La ilaha illa huwa yuhyee wayumeetu rabbukum warabbu aba-ikumu al-awwaleena
044:009 No; they are in doubt, playing. Bal hum fee shakkin yalAAaboona
044:010 Therefore, watch for the day when the sky will bring a visible smoke. Fairtaqib yawma ta/tee alssamao bidukhanin mubeenin
044:011 It will envelop the people: "This is a painful retribution!" Yaghsha alnnasa hatha AAathabun aleemun
044:012 "Our Lord, remove the retribution from us; we are believers." Rabbana ikshif AAanna alAAathaba inna mu/minoona
044:013 How is it that now they remember, while a clarifying messenger had come to them? Anna lahumu alththikra waqad jaahum rasoolun mubeenun
044:014 But they turned away from him and said: "Clearly educated, but crazy!" Thumma tawallaw AAanhu waqaloo muAAallamun majnoonun
044:015 We will remove the retribution in a while; you will then revert back. Inna kashifoo alAAathabi qaleelan innakum AAa-idoona
044:016 On the Day We strike the great strike, We will avenge. Yawma nabtishu albatshata alkubra inna muntaqimoona
044:017 And We had tested before them the people of Pharaoh, and an honourable messenger came to them. Walaqad fatanna qablahum qawma firAAawna wajaahum rasoolun kareemun
044:018 "Restore to me the servants of God. I am a trustworthy messenger to you." An addoo ilayya AAibada Allahi innee lakum rasoolun ameenun
044:019 "And, do not transgress against God. I come to you with clear authority." Waan la taAAloo AAala Allahi innee ateekum bisultanin mubeenin
044:020 "And I seek refuge in my Lord and your Lord, should you stone me." Wa-innee AAuthtu birabbee warabbikum an tarjumooni
044:021 "And if you do not wish to believe, then leave me alone." Wa-in lam tu/minoo lee faiAAtazilooni
044:022 Subsequently, he called on his Lord: "These are a criminal people." FadaAAa rabbahu anna haola-i qawmun mujrimoona
044:023 You shall travel with My servants during the night; you will be pursued. Faasri biAAibadee laylan innakum muttabaAAoona
044:024 And cross the sea quickly; their troops will be drowned. Waotruki albahra rahwan innahum jundun mughraqoona
044:025 How many paradises and springs did they leave behind? Kam tarakoo min jannatin waAAuyoonin
044:026 And crops and luxurious dwellings? WazurooAAin wamaqamin kareemin
044:027 And blessings that they enjoyed? WanaAAmatin kanoo feeha fakiheena
044:028 Thus it was!; and We caused another people to inherit it. Kathalika waawrathnaha qawman akhareena
044:029 Neither the heaven, nor the Earth wept over them, and they were not respited. Fama bakat AAalayhimu alssamao waal-ardu wama kanoo munthareena

044:030 And We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating agony. Walaqad najjayna banee isra-eela mina alAAathabi almuheeni
044:031 From Pharaoh; he was a transgressing tyrant. Min firAAawna innahu kana AAaliyan mina almusrifeena
044:032 And We have chosen them, out of knowledge, over the worlds. Walaqadi ikhtarnahum AAala AAilmin AAala alAAalameena
044:033 And We granted them signs, which constituted a great test. Waataynahum mina al-ayati ma feehi balaon mubeenun
044:034 These people now are saying: Inna haola-i layaqooloona
044:035 "There is nothing but our first death; and we will never be resurrected!" In hiya illa mawtatuna al-oola wama nahnu bimunshareena
044:036 "So bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!" Fa/too bi-aba-ina in kuntum sadiqeena
044:037 Are they better or the people of Tubba` and those before them? We destroyed them, they were criminals. Ahum khayrun am qawmu tubbaAAin waallatheena min qablihim ahlaknahum innahum kanoo mujrimeena
044:038 And We have not created the heavens and the Earth, and everything between them, for mere play. Wama khalaqna alssamawati waal-arda wama baynahuma laAAibeena
044:039 We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know. Ma khalaqnahuma illa bialhaqqi walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona
044:040 Surely, the Day of Separation is the appointment for them all. Inna yawma alfasli meeqatuhum ajmaAAeena
044:041 That is the Day when no friend can help his friend in any way; nor will they be helped. Yawma la yughnee mawlan AAan mawlan shay-an wala hum yunsaroona
044:042 Except him on whom God has mercy. He is the Noble, the Merciful. Illa man rahima Allahu innahu huwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu

43-59

044:043 Surely, the tree of Bitterness. Inna shajarata alzzaqqoomi
044:044 Will be the food for the sinful. TaAAamu al-atheemi
044:045 Like hot oil, it will boil in the stomachs. Kaalmuhli yaghlee fee albutooni
044:046 Like the boiling of liquid. Kaghalyi alhameemi
044:047 "Take him and throw him into the midst of Hell." Khuthoohu faiAAtiloohu ila sawa-i aljaheemi
044:048 "Then pour upon his head the retribution of boiling liquid." Thumma subboo fawqa ra/sihi min AAathabi alhameemi
044:049 "Taste this; surely you are the noble, the generous!" Thuq innaka anta alAAazeezu alkareemu
044:050 Surely, this is what you used to doubt! Inna hatha ma kuntum bihi tamtaroona
044:051 The righteous will be in a place of security. Inna almuttaqeena fee maqamin ameenin
044:052 Among paradises and springs. Fee jannatin waAAuyoonin
044:053 Wearing silk and satin; facing each other. Yalbasoona min sundusin wa-istabraqin mutaqabileena
044:054 So it is, and We coupled them with wonderful companions. Kathalika wazawwajnahum bihoorin AAeenin
044:055 They enjoy in it all kinds of fruits, in perfect peace. YadAAoona feeha bikulli fakihatin amineena
044:056 They do not taste death therein except for the first death, and He has spared them the retribution of Hell. La yathooqoona feeha almawta illa almawtata al-oola wawaqahum AAathaba aljaheemi
044:057 As a blessing from your Lord. Such is the great triumph. Fadlan min rabbika thalika huwa alfawzu alAAatheemu
044:058 We have thus made it easy in your language, perhaps they may take heed. Fa-innama yassarnahu bilisanika laAAallahum yatathakkaroona
044:059 Therefore, keep watch; for they too will keep watch. Fairtaqib innahum murtaqiboona
