An Act of the Scottish Parliament to remove the time limit on the period during which the provisions about competition in the Local Government Act 1988 may be modified in relation to local authorities.
1Compulsory competitive tendering: local authorities
- In section 2(10) of the Local Government Act 1988 (c.9) (which empowers the Scottish Ministers to modify that Act’s competition provisions in their application to local authorities, but only up to 31 December 2001), the words “being a date not later than 31 December 2001,” are repealed.
2Short title and commencement
- (1) This Act may be cited as the Scottish Local Authorities (Tendering) Act 2001.
- (2) This Act shall come into force at the end of the period of one month beginning with the day on which it receives Royal Assent.
