Old Daet Cathedral
  • 🌍 Old Daet Cathedral (John the Baptist Church, also known as the Parroquia de San Juan Bautista i). Masses M-F 6AM, noon, 5:15PM; Sa 6AM, 5:15PM; Su 5AM, 6:30AM, 8AM, 9:30AM, 3PM (Children's Mass), 4:30PM, 6PM, 7:15PM. Built by the Franciscan friars in 1611, it is one of the oldest churches in Camarines Norte.
Rizal monument
  • 🌍 First monument for JosΓ© Rizal. The Rizal Monument in Daet was the first monument built to honor JosΓ© Rizal, and is the oldest surviving such monument in the Philippines. It was designed by Lt. Colonel Antonio Sanz with the help of Ildefonso Alegre of the Philippine Revolutionary Army and through the financial contributions of the locals of Camarines Norte. The three-tiered stone pylon with its square base supporting a triangle in two stages was the first monument and memorial marker in memory of the Philippines' National Hero.
