Macksville

Macksville is a small riverside town of 2,800 (2021) in the Mid-North Coast region of New South Wales. It sits as the headquarters of the Nambucca Valley Council and considered to mark the halfway point between Sydney and Brisbane.

Macksville is halfway along the Pacific Motorway (M1) between Sydney and Brisbane. It is 470 km north of Sydney, 330 km north of Newcastle and 100 km north of Port Macquarie. From the north, Macksville is 440 km south of Brisbane, 380 km south of the Gold Coast, 260 km south of Ballina and 55 km south of Coffs Harbour.

By train

🌍 Macksville Station is served by three daily XPTs from Sydney from the south and one from Grafton, one from Casino and one from Brisbane from the north.

There is a connecting taxi to Nambucca Heads to and from Macksville as the northbound Brisbane XPT does not stop there.
