Makoda is a Local Government Area (LGA) and rural town in Kano State, northern Nigeria. It is located northeast of Dambatta and is part of the Kano North Senatorial District. The area is known for its strong agricultural base, serene rural environment, and deep Hausa cultural heritage.

Makoda's communities are mostly involved in farming and traditional crafts. The people are predominantly Hausa and Fulani, and Islam is the main religion.
