Omodos
Omodos (Όμοδος) is a village in Limassol District. Most famous for wineries and small-village charm.
Understand
Omodos is a small village located about 40 kilometres from the centre of Limassol. The village's arable land includes vineyards, apple, plum, pear, peach and golden apple trees. A small part of the village, in its northern part, is part of the Paphos State Forest.

By car
Omodos is about a 50-minute drive from Limassol. There is a large car park not far from the centre of the village where you can leave your car and walk in.
Get around
Omodos is a small village and can be traversed by foot. Driving into the village itself may be challenging for the uninitiated as the roads are steep and tight.

- 🌍 Monastery of the Holy Cross (Timios Stavros Monastery, Μονή του Τιμίου Σταυρού). It is one of the oldest monasteries in Cyprus, and functions as a church for the community of Omodos. The monastery grounds house various museums, such as the Museum of Byzantine Icons, the Museum of the EOKA Struggle (1955-59), the Museum of Folk Art, as well as an art gallery.
