Etymology
भृ (bhṛ, “to support, maintain”) + -मन् (-man). From Proto-Indo-Aryan *bʰárma, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *bʰárma, from Proto-Indo-European *bʰérmn̥. Cognate with Proto-Slavic *bèrmę.
