Etymology

Inherited from Prakrit 𑀢𑀁𑀩𑁄𑀮𑀺𑀅 (taṃbolia), from Sanskrit ताम्बूलिक (tāmbūlika). Cognate with Old Marathi 𑘝𑘰𑘽𑘤𑘻𑘯𑘲 (tāṃboḷī).
