Cognate with Northern Thai ᨴᩩᨠ, Khün ᨴᩩᨠ, Isan ทุก, Lao ທຸກ (thuk), Lü ᦑᦳᧅ (tuk). Compare Old Chinese 獨 (OC *doːɡ, “single, alone”).
