Etymology

Borrowed from Old Khmer lheya (“to be cool, fresh, or refreshing”).[1] Cognate with Modern Khmer ល្ហើយ (lhaəy), រហើយ (rɔhaəy). Possibly cognate with Lao ເຫີຽ (hœ̄i).
