観応

The ō reading for 応 changes to nō as an instance of renjō (連声).

観(かん)応(のう) or 観(かん)応(おう) • (Kannō or Kan'ō) 

1. the Kannō era, 1350-1352 by the Northern Court reckoning

• This era was abolished in the winter of 1351 and revived in the summer of 1352. During this hiatus the era name 正平(しょうへい) (Shōhei) was used.

• 貞和(じょうわ) (Jōwa) (era preceding Kannō)
• 文和(ぶんな) (Bunna) (era following Kannō)
• 正平(しょうへい) (Shōhei) (era contemporary to Kannō (Southern Court reckoning))
