With 𑀓𑁄𑀭𑀬 (koraya, “bud”), 𑀓𑀼𑀧𑁆𑀧𑀮 (kuppala, “bud”) (< 𑀓𑀼𑀟𑁆𑀫𑀮 (kuḍmalá, “filled with buds”)). Perhaps from Dravidian, for which compare Tamil கொருமை (korumai, “freshness (as of shoots)”).
