carrab
Somali
Etymology
From Proto-Somaloid *ʕánràb (“tongue”), from Proto-East Cushitic *ʕaŋ-lab, literally meaning "between the cheeks". The first element, *ʕaŋ, is preserved as Somali can (“inner buccal”), while the second element, *lab, is found in Beja miidalab (compare Oromo maddii) and Kw'adza ondalimo.[1]
