- (chiefly Sicily, especially Syracuse) Soup of boiled wheatberries, sugar and other varying ingredients, traditionally eaten on December 13, the feast day of Saint Lucy.
- (province of Cosenza, Calabria) Dish with boiled wheatberries and goat and pig meat.
