drasill
Old Norse
Etymology
Probably a formation from Proto-Indo-European *dʰers- (“to be bold, daring”), though this is disputed. Other theories, including those connecting the word to drasinn (“lazy”) or drengr (“bold lad”), are semantically and formally unlikely, respectively.[1]
