drasill

Old Norse

Etymology

Probably a formation from Proto-Indo-European *dʰers- (to be bold, daring), though this is disputed. Other theories, including those connecting the word to drasinn (lazy) or drengr (bold lad), are semantically and formally unlikely, respectively.[1]
