- a summertime settlement of shepherds, a temporary accommodation surrounded by pasture, established for the grazing and milking of sheep of a flock (consisting of sheep from several owners), and for the storage, distribution, or sale of dairy products
- hut (of a shepherd)
- sheepfold (a portable sheep pen with a fence that can be dismantled and reassembled)
