Inherited from Ottoman Turkish تپه‌دن طرناغه,[1] or تپه‌دن طیرناغه (tepeden ṭırnaġa)[2] from تپه (tepe) and طرناق (ṭırnaḳ),[3][4] equivalent to tepe (“top, crown; hill”) +‎ -den (ablative suffix) +‎ tırnak (“nail (finger or toe)”) +‎ -a (dative suffix), literally “from the top to the nail”.
