Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *θīniā, remade after the class of fem. ā-stems, from Proto-Indo-European *ḱyeh₁- (“dark(-coloured), grey”). Cognate to Old Church Slavonic синь (sinĭ, “dark blue”).[1]
