Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1809 – April 15, 1865) was 16th president of the United States of America. Lincoln led the United States through its Civil War. He was the first United States president to be assassinated. Lincoln was assassinated shortly after being re-elected by John Wilkes Booth. He was preceded by James Buchanan and was succeeded by Andrew Johnson.
