Belo Horizonte is a city in Minas Gerais, Brazil. It is located in the southeast part of the country. In 2013, the city proper had 2,479,165 people;[1] and in 2010, the urban area had 5,414,701 people.[2] The urban area of Belo Horizonte is the third largest in Brazil, after São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
Belo Horizonte was one of the host cities of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
