Fortaleza is a city in Ceará, Brazil. It is located in the northeast along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. In 2013, the city proper had 2,551,806 people;[1] and in 2010, the urban area had 3,615,767 people.[2]
Fortaleza was one of the host cities of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
