Etymology
From mwa (“to drink”) + -eska (“causative suffix for monosyllabic verbs”). Cognate with Chichewa -mwetsa (“to cause to drink”) and Yao -mwesya (“to cause to drink”). Also a cognate with Swahili -nywesha (“to cause to drink”) which comes from the main Proto-Bantu stem.
